Retaining the original technology and functionality, the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO Switcher, designed by Blackmagic, boasts a wealth of impressive features, including the functionalities of the ATEM SDI Pro ISO model, but with enhanced capabilities.
The SDI Extreme ISO Switcher accommodates 8 SDI inputs and 4 SDI outputs, recording 9 distinct H.264 video streams in real-time, simultaneously capturing all 8 clean feed inputs and the program video.
The switcher automatically generates a DaVinci Resolve project file for subsequent modifications.
This high-performance switcher is skillfully designed for live streaming, offering the ability to seamlessly transition between various professional and consumer cameras, game consoles, and computer feeds. Live streaming to platforms such as YouTube, Facebook Live, Skype, Twitch, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams is facilitated through RTMP protocols.
A unique feature is the ability to record each of the eight input videos individually as an MP4, in addition to the program output, via one of the USB Type-C ports.
Suppose you're conducting live production on-site. In that case, this model also supports the connection of an Apple or Android phone to the USB port, leveraging mobile data and serving as a backup to your primary Ethernet connection.
The SDI Extreme ISO Switcher is a powerful tool for live streaming; it also has 3G-SDI outputs to feed monitors and supports up to a 16-screen multiview.
Notably, the control interface on the front panel provides easy access to source selection, video effects, and transitions, with the rear panel housing 3G-SDI connections for cameras or computers, extra microphone inputs, and USB for webcam out.
The switcher can store up to 20 images with fill and key and supports popular image file formats. Offering compatibility with the ATEM Software Control Panel, the ATEM 1 M/E, ATEM 2 M/E, and ATEM 4 M/E Advanced Panels, this model is optimised for configuration using Blackmagic's Videohub Hardware Panel Setup utility.
The unit's audio capabilities are just as impressive, with two independent 3.5mm stereo audio inputs facilitating connection with desktop and lapel microphones or even a music player. This model also supports directly recording your streaming data to USB flash disks using H.264 video files with AAC audio.
