Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K Features
Offering top-tier 4K recording, the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is an affordable, portable device packed with advanced features. Ideal for various filming scenarios such as indie films, documentaries, fashion events, travel blogs, and corporate videos, it delivers superior image quality and RAW recording capabilities typically associated with expensive professional cameras. This means you can smoothly blend footage from this camera with high-end film and television cameras.
This compact cinema camera doesn't compromise features or video quality in a robust and lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced composite body. It includes a bright 5-inch screen, four built-in microphones, built-in recorders, and external buttons for quick access to crucial functions. It is flexible and expandable with various mounting points, a mini XLR input, Bluetooth control, and more.
The full-size 4/3 sensor delivers 4096 x 2160 resolution, 13 stops of dynamic range, and dual native ISO up to 25,600 for exceptional low-light performance. It can record 60 frames per second in 4K and a staggering 120 frames per second in windowed HD. Its compatibility with the Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens mount offers autofocus and electronic zoom control on supported lenses.
You can record on standard SD cards, UHS-II cards, or CFast 2.0 media. For longer filming times, you can record directly to an external SSD or flash drive via the built-in USB-C Expansion Port. All files are compatible with professional post-production software, and the included DaVinci Resolve Studio software allows for immediate editing directly from your media cards.
The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K utilises the advanced Blackmagic OS, offering the same features as larger cameras, and its touchscreen interface allows for intuitive adjustments. The back boasts a large, bright 5-inch touchscreen for easy framing and focusing, as well as on-screen overlays and playback controls. Audio recording is provided through a mini XLR input and four built-in microphones, while the full-size HDMI connector supports HDR output and 10-bit output with on-screen overlays.
The camera's power options are flexible, using standard removable LP-E6 batteries, DC power, and USB-C, ensuring you can shoot all day. A full version of DaVinci Resolve Studio is included, offering a comprehensive post-production solution combining professional editing, colour correction, audio post, and visual effects.
